Alphlexo Crab

Alphlexo Crab is a flats crab pattern developed by the team at Alphonse Fishing Company in the Seychelles — originally tied for triggerfish, it was quickly adopted for Indo-Pacific permit and bonefish after proving itself on both. The key to the pattern is the mesh tubing body: it creates a realistic crab carapace profile, lands softly without slapping down and sinks fast into the feeding zone. Flyzinc ties their version with tungsten weights in 3mm sizes, giving a faster and more controlled sink rate than the standard bead chain version. It is a specialist flats pattern built for sight fishing to tailing fish in shallow, calm water.
