Wading Boots

Our wading boots are built for South African rivers, stillwaters and saltwater flats - from rocky mountain streams to the Vaal to the Cape flats. Every boot in the range is designed to pair with stocking-foot waders, giving you traction and protection where you need it most.

The first choice is sole type. Rubber soles handle the varied, rocky riverbeds you find across most South African rivers and travel well to any destination. Felt soles offer exceptional grip on smooth, algae-covered rock - particularly effective on tailwaters (like the Vaal and Orange Rivers) and rivers with heavy algae growth. Both sole options are available across the Simms Freestone range.

For lighter footwork, the Simms Flyweight and Flyweight Access are cut for wet wading and longer walks between pools. The Simms Flats Sneaker is purpose-built for saltwater flats fishing - low-profile, quick-drying and tough enough for reef and sand. For float tubers, the Reef Deluxe Dive Bootie rounds out the range.

Add studs or cleats to any compatible sole for extra bite on slippery rock. Replacement laces and sole kits are stocked to extend the life of your boots season after season.
