Description
Gotcha is one of the most iconic and consistently productive bonefish flies ever tied. Created by Jim McVay on Andros Island in the Bahamas — legend has it the original was tied with carpet fibres pulled from the floor of a taxi — the fly earned its name from McVay's guide, who shouted "Gotcha!" every time a bonefish ate it. A refined variation of the Crazy Charlie, its pearl flash body and subtle pink undertone make it irresistible to bonefish across destinations from the Bahamas and Yucatan to the Seychelles. Weighted with brass bead-chain eyes, it lands softly, rides hook point up and tracks naturally along the bottom.
