Built for the Salt
The Horizon Aluminium Fishing Pliers are a light, tough tool built for saltwater work and heavier rigging. The frame is CNC-machined anodised aluminium, so it stays light in the hand and shrugs off salt. The stainless steel jaws grip hooks without flexing, and the tungsten carbide cutters slice cleanly through mono and steel wire trace. Spare parts are held here at Frontier, so a well-used pair gets rebuilt rather than binned.
Horizon Aluminium Fishing Pliers Features
- Anodised aluminium frame — light to hold and built to resist saltwater corrosion
- Stainless steel needle-nose jaws — reach into awkward hook-holds and grip without flexing
- Tungsten carbide cutters — slice cleanly through mono and steel wire trace
- Spring-loaded handles — open on their own for easy one-handed use
- Replaceable jaws and cutters — swap the wear parts instead of replacing the tool, with spares available from us
- Coiled lanyard stretching to a metre, with carabiner one end and split-ring tether the other — keeps them on your belt and out of the water
- Moulded holster with a self-aligning base — push the pliers in one-handed and the base finds them, no lining up
Best Used For
- Saltwater and estuary rigging, where cutting steel trace cleanly matters
- Unhooking toothy or deep-hooked fish safely at the boat
- Everyday tackle jobs — pinching barbs, trimming trace and general hook work
