A Landing Net That Floats
The Horizon Floating Net does two things that matter on a float tube. Its hi-vis foam frame stays on the surface if it goes over the side, and its deep rubberised mesh bag holds bigger trout securely without tangling flies or stripping the slime coat. Scoop, unhook and release with the least possible handling.
Horizon Floating Net Features
- Foam-covered frame floats and is easy to spot in bright orange.
- Deep rubberised mesh is gentle on fish and won't tangle flies or droppers.
- Head 52cm x 40cm, 50cm deep — sized for stillwater trout.
- Contoured foam handle for a secure grip with cold, wet hands.
- Built-in 50cm elastic cord retainer stretches to 1.25m, with a clip on the end.
On the Water
Float tubing a stillwater is where this net earns its keep. Sit low in a tube and everything within reach eventually gets wet, so a net that floats instead of sinking saves you a cold retrieval. Clip it to your tube, bring a fish up, scoop and release — the rubber mesh lets you slip the hook and send the trout back quickly. It works just as well leaned over the side of a boat or working a margin on foot.
