Description
The Osprey Transporter is a proper expedition hauler — the bag you hand to a bush pilot, lash to a roof rack or drag across a wet slipway without a second thought. A NanoTough carbonate-coated shell shrugs off abrasion and sheds water, so your kit stays dry when the bag rides on the back of a bakkie in the rain or sits on a soaked boat deck. Weather-resistant #10 YKK zips lock shut, and the HighRoad chassis rolls its oversized wheels over gravel, sand and cobbles without complaint.
Features
- NanoTough carbonate-coated recycled nylon shell — remarkably strong and highly water-resistant, built for wet, rough handling
- Long enough to carry four 9ft 4-piece rods in their tubes, laid in beside the internal metal handle
- Weather-resistant #10 YKK zips with lockable sliders and rain flaps to keep dust and downpours out
- HighRoad chassis with aluminium frame and oversized 110mm sealed-bearing wheels for rolling over any surface
- Six lash points for strapping to a roof rack, trailer or pack animal
- Tuckaway tow strap to train several bags together behind one
- Four padded grab handles plus a moulded bottom foot for lifting and dragging from any angle
- Large internal mesh pocket and external end pocket, two internal compression straps and an ID window on the end panel
On the Water with the Osprey Transporter
This is the bag for trips where the last leg isn't a taxi rank. Think overland to a remote delta, a boat-based week on saltwater or a fly-in camp. Out there your gear gets handled hard and rained on, and the NanoTough shell takes it. Four 9ft rods in their tubes ride inside alongside waders and layers, so the whole kit travels as one checked bag. The lash points and tow strap earn their keep too — strap gear to a vehicle roof, or train several bags together and haul them down a jetty in one go.
