Sage Classic R8 Fly Fishing Rod

Tradition, Reengineered

The Sage Classic R8 Fly Fishing Rod is built for anglers who prefer a controlled, deliberate tempo. Designed around Sage's Revolution 8 graphite, the Classic R8 sharpens feel and feedback through the cast, and its moderate action supports accurate presentation and consistent loop control across a wide range of freshwater conditions.

Sage Classic R8 Fly Fishing Rod — On the Water

The Classic R8 suits rivers, streams and stillwaters where accuracy and touch matter more than raw power. It performs when targeting trout and yellowfish with measured, precise casts, holding stability and responsiveness at close and medium range for technical freshwater work.

Design, Action and Construction

Revolution 8 graphite is tuned here for a deep-loading moderate action with quick recovery, giving the rod a light feel while keeping line speed on tap. Super Plus cork, chrome guides and a walnut-insert reel seat give it a refined, durable finish in keeping with Sage's modern standards.
