Description
Simms Freestone Wading Boot - Felt Sole is built for rocky rivers and slick, algae-covered bottoms where felt's grip still beats anything else underfoot. The 12mm felt outsole bites into wet, mossy rock in a way rubber can't quite match, backed by the same supportive, durable build as the rest of the Freestone line.
Features
- Synthetic scratch leather upper that doesn't hold water, so the boot stays light even after hours in the water
- Toe and heel reinforcements add durability and protect against knocks on rock and trail
- Partial neoprene lining for comfort and easy on/off
- Dual-density EVA midsole cushions your stride and absorbs shock underfoot
- 12mm felt outsole compatible with Simms Hardbite Felt Studs — felt takes its own dedicated stud, not the same ones used on rubber soles
On the Water: Simms Freestone Wading Boot - Felt Sole
This is the boot for slow-moving rivers with slick, moss- and algae-covered rock, where felt's bite still has the edge over rubber. If you're covering a lot of dry ground to get there, or fishing somewhere felt soles aren't allowed, our rubber sole version of this same boot is the better call — otherwise, this is the more secure footing choice underfoot.
