Squimp Shrimp is a craft fur shrimp imitation that has proven effective on bonefish and permit on flats around the world. The name reflects its hybrid character — part shrimp, part something more — but its effectiveness on selective fish is straightforward. Craft fur gives the fly a natural, mobile profile that moves well with minimal retrieve, while rubber legs add secondary movement on the pause. The Flyzinc version is weighted with tungsten and fitted with a weed guard for clean presentation over coral, grass and sandy bottom. Tied on a #2 hook in Tan/Orange — one of the most effective colour combinations for tropical flats species.
